How to check where a movie is streaming
Finding the right film is only half the decision. Streaming availability depends on your country and can change over time, even when you use the same service.

- Check the original language separately from dubbed versions.
- Save a film to your wishlist if it has no suitable listing today.
Start with your actual viewing country
Open a film’s details and select the country you will watch from. A Netflix, Prime Video or other platform listing in one region may not apply in another.
The platform information helps you compare available options. It does not mean Suggest Me a Movie owns streaming rights, hosts the film or sells a subscription.
Understand what a platform listing tells you
Subscription, free and ad-supported options describe different ways a film may be available. Rental and purchase options may differ from the services included in a recommendation filter.
A film can move between catalogues, and some listings can lag behind a change. Before settling in, confirm the title on your service and check whether an extra payment is required.
Treat missing listings as missing information
When there is no listed streaming option, the app may show “Somewhere on internet.” That means no platform listing was found for the selected region; it is not a link to a source or a promise that the film is available online.
Try the correct country, keep the film on your wishlist, or choose another recommendation. A missing listing alone cannot establish who holds the film’s rights.
Check language and accessibility on the service
A film’s original language and its available audio tracks are different things. The same is true of subtitles, captions and audio description.
Use the movie’s original-language label to understand the film, then check the version offered by the platform. Those details can matter as much as the premise when choosing for a group.
