Find your kind of film
Build your movie taste with the swipe deck
The swipe deck turns discovery into a simple choice. You can react to one film at a time, save the ones that interest you and gradually build a clearer picture of your taste.
A few ways to start
- Swipe right for a film you like or a promising match.
- Swipe left when you want to pass and see the next film.
- Open the poster when you need details before deciding.
Use right and left for different decisions
After signing in, open Swipe Deck from the home page. Swipe right to like a film and left to pass. You can also use the on-screen controls instead of a gesture.
Passing is useful when you are unsure or the film does not suit tonight. Use the separate “Don’t like this” action when you want that title excluded from later recommendations.
Separate liking from planning to watch
A liked film helps represent your taste. A wishlist film is one you want to come back to. You can use both when a discovery feels especially promising.
Your profile keeps liked films, watched films and your wishlist together. Mark finished films as watched so recommendations can focus on new choices.
Let your taste include variety
Your likes can include different genres, languages and countries. You do not have to stay inside a single category for the profile to be useful.
Personalized recommendations use signals from liked films, including genres, original languages and cinema countries. They still leave room for exploration rather than treating your past choices as a fixed rule.
Open the details when a poster is not enough
Tap the poster to read about the film and check its streaming information. A poster or a rating cannot fully explain tone, themes or suitability for your viewing group.
If your interests change, revisit your liked films and remove ones that no longer reflect them. Preference controls are useful because taste is allowed to change.
A couple of useful answers
Does swiping left permanently hide a film?
A left swipe passes to the next film. Use “Don’t like this” for a lasting exclusion from recommendations.
Will watched movies still be recommended?
Films marked watched are excluded from your personal recommendations. They remain accessible in your Watched collection.
